Without using bar oil, your chainsaw bar and chain will heat up due to friction very quickly. This will result in quick wear, warping of the bar, chain dulling, and even dangerous conditions such as chain breakage. Always have your oil reservoir full of quality chainsaw oil such as Rock Oil Groundsman when operating your chainsaw.
