BÖHLER UNION ALSi 5 4043A 1.6 x 1000mm Tig Wire is a premium-grade welding rod meticulously crafted for precision and versatility in aluminium-silicon (AlSi) alloy welding. This Tig wire can be used for a wide range of applications, ensuring smooth and clean welds with minimal spatter and distortion.

Key Features:

• Designed for gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) of aluminium-silicon alloys with silicon content up to 5%.
• Suitable for oxyacetylene welding or brazing with appropriate fluxes, offering flexibility in welding processes.
• Weld metal is not suitable for anodizing for decorative purposes.
• Produces a very fluid weld pool, facilitating smooth and clean welds with minimal spatter and distortion.
• Base material should be thoroughly cleaned near the seam to ensure optimal weld quality and integrity.
• Pre-heating between 150°C to 200°C is recommended for plates thicker than 15 mm to minimise cracking and improve weldability.
• Not suitable for welding hardenable alloys or high-stress zones.
