A premium performance castor-based racing oil suitable for classic and vintage racing motorcycles, especially two-stroke engines where the continued use of castor oil is specified. Suitable for use with pre-mix and separate oil tank systems.

Castor oil gives great film strength and natural tack that is especially beneficial under the extreme stress of racing conditions. It offers extra protection at very high temperatures and high RPM ranges, making it ideal for track use.

This oil blends the special characteristics of castor oil with the latest additive technology to deliver super protection and performance. It has superb ring seal, excellent film strength, and that great sweet castor smell we all love.

This oil is specifically designed for classic and vintage racing motorcycles where castor oil is specified. Whilst it offers excellent protection, most modern engines are usually suited to the use of synthetic or mineral oils, so always check your engine specifications.

Mixing ratios vary with your engine needs and race conditions. But common ratios range from 16:1 to 25:1. Always stick to your engine maker’s recommended mixing ratios for the best performance.

Castor oil also generates more noticeable exhaust smoke than contemporary synthetic oils. It may also leave behind tacky deposits, especially if the engine is not sufficiently driven at high temperature. Normal service and heat cycling assist in reducing deposit accumulation.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Tightly close containers when not in use. Unlike some oils, castor oil possesses great natural stability and long shelf life when stored appropriately.

We suggest Racing Castor Oil SAE 40 to be run alone and not blended with any other oils. Should a type of oil change be needed, flush the engine very thoroughly to eliminate any castor oil residue.

The oil is superb for engine break-in periods since it has high film strength and is naturally tacky. Yet, use your own engine builder’s break-in procedure recommendations. 

For racing applications, change intervals will more likely be in terms of race meetings or running hours instead of distance. More regular oil changes are necessary because of the extreme stress of racing conditions. Change the oil after every race meeting or 2-3 hours of racing.
