Description
Super6 Super Optimal 7018 electrode
A Universal basic coated low hydrogen arc welding electrode for applications where high demands on impact value are required (even at low temperatures). Excellent welding characteristics in all positions (except vertically down).
Applicable for offshore, ship building, power generation and gas & oil industries.
Features and Applications
Suitable for use in out of position welding except for welding in vertical down position
Excellent strength and toughness
Suitable for use in the fields of steel constructions, boiler, container, machine manufacturing and shipbuilding as well as for use in welding low purity and high-carbon steels
Suitable for the formation of welding buffer layers when building up high carbon steels
Weld deposits with very low hydrogen content
Weld metal recovery of about 120%
Requirement of re-drying for minimum 2 hours at temperatures between 300°C & 350°C
